Membership in Century Ridge Hunting Club is by invitation and approval. All 2025/26 members of the FCWA hunting group have first right of refusal for the 2026/27 season.

Club Rules

Purpose

  • —Century Ridge Hunting Club exists to provide safe, ethical, and enjoyable hunting opportunities for its members while promoting good stewardship of wildlife habitat and fostering fellowship among hunters.
  • —The Century Ridge Hunting Club consists of hunters with various backgrounds, skill levels and experience. Below you will find a list of rules and guidelines. In no way do these rules replace common sense and common courtesy. Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Club at all times.
  • —These rules are intended to promote safety, fairness, sportsmanship, and respect for fellow members, landowners, and neighboring property owners.
  • —Century Ridge Hunting Club is primarily a deer and turkey hunting club that offers limited small game, predator, and migratory bird hunting opportunities.

Leadership

  • —The club is co-chaired by Brant Sanderlin and John Richard with valuable input from all members.

Membership

  • —Membership in Century Ridge Hunting Club is by invitation and approval. All 2025/26 members of the FCWC hunting group have first right of refusal for the 2026/27 season.
  • —All members must maintain a current Floyd County Wildlife Association (FCWA) membership and remain in good standing with FCWA throughout the hunting season.
  • —Membership in Century Ridge Hunting Club is a privilege and not a property right.
  • —Memberships may not be sold, transferred, assigned, or otherwise conveyed to another person.
  • —The number of memberships available may be adjusted from time to time based upon available acreage, hunting quality, safety considerations, lease costs, landowner relationships, and the overall interests of the Club.
  • —The Club may maintain a waiting list of prospective members. Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee future membership.

Dues

  • —Annual dues shall be established each year based upon anticipated lease costs, insurance, seed, fertilizer, equipment maintenance, stand maintenance, administrative expenses, and other Club obligations. For 2026/27 Season the dues are $500 plus $100 hog trapping fee. Total of $600.
  • —All dues must be paid by the deadline established for the upcoming season: July 31, 2026.
  • —Failure to pay dues by the established deadline may result in forfeiture of membership.
  • —Refunds may be granted only when a replacement member can be found and accepted by the Club. Any refund request must be submitted prior to the start of archery season unless otherwise approved by Club leadership.

Member Conduct

  • —All members shall follow all federal, state, and local laws, follow all Club rules, follow all landowner restrictions and lease requirements, practice safe firearm and archery handling, respect fellow members and guests, respect neighboring property owners, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Club.
  • —Members shall not engage in conduct that harms the Club, its reputation, its leases, its landowner relationships, or the hunting opportunities available to members.

Disciplinary Action

  • —Membership may be suspended or terminated for failure to pay dues, violation of Club rules, unsafe conduct, illegal activity, harassment of other members, damage to Club property, violation of landowner requirements, or conduct that materially harms the Club.
  • —Before final disciplinary action is taken, the member shall be provided notice of the issue and an opportunity to address Club leadership.

New Member Orientation

  • —All new members shall complete an orientation before hunting Club property.
  • —The orientation shall include property boundaries, access points, safety expectations, sign-in procedures, hunting areas, landowner restrictions, and Club traditions and expectations.

Family Members

  • —Membership is issued to one individual and is not a family membership.
  • —A spouse may hunt in the same stand or blind with the member. Any deer or turkey harvested by the spouse shall count toward the member's harvest limits on Club property.
  • —This provision is intended to encourage family participation and introduce new hunters to the outdoors and should not be used as a substitute for a separate membership.
  • —Children eighteen (18) years of age and younger, or twenty-two (22) years of age and younger if enrolled in college or military service and still financially dependent, may hunt with a member at no additional charge.
  • —To encourage youth participation, deer harvested by dependent children do not count toward the member's harvest limits on Club property.
  • —Once a child is no longer a dependent or reaches age twenty-two (22), they must obtain their own FCWA membership and their own Century Ridge Hunting Club membership.

Guest Policy

  • —Guests are not encouraged. Due to landowner rules, all guests must have prior approval from Brant Sanderlin and John Richards.

General Hunting Rules

  • —Safety and good sportsmanship are the Club's highest priorities.
  • —All hunters must comply with all Georgia Department of Natural Resources regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • —Hunters must indicate the location they intend to hunt using the Club's sign-in board and assigned pin system before each hunt.
  • —NEW: Sign In and Pin In. In addition to marking their location on the map, beginning with the 2026-27 season hunters shall sign in with the time they plan to begin and end their hunt on the white dry erase board.
  • —With the exception of turkey season, hunters are expected to remain within a 150-yard radius of their pinned location.
  • —No hunter may hunt within 150 yards of another hunter. This doesn't mean two hunters can't have stands in the same 150-yard area, but only one stand can be hunted at one time.
  • —Turkey hunters must pin their starting location but are not required to remain within a 150-yard radius of their pin.

Harvest Reporting

  • —All harvested deer must be properly tagged and reported to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
  • —Members shall also record all deer harvests on the Club harvest log so harvest information can be monitored from year to year.
  • —Restraint is encouraged in letting small bucks mature, but this is not a trophy managed club. Our hope is that as a hunter's experience level increases so will their desire to pass on smaller bucks.

Deer Cooler

  • —All deer placed in the cooler must be clearly labeled with the hunter's name, date of harvest, phone number, and DNR confirmation number.
  • —Deer should not remain in the cooler for more than ten (10) days.
  • —Members are expected to maintain cleanliness around the cooler and designated gut pile area.
  • —The deer cooler remains available to FCWA members in accordance with FCWA policies.

Stands and Blinds

  • —Club-owned stands are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • —Hunters are strongly encouraged to scout, establish, and maintain their own stand locations.
  • —Personal stands, ladders, and blinds must display the owner's name, phone number, member number, and current year.
  • —Members should not hunt another member's personal stand, that is clearly marked, without permission.
  • —Members should communicate and cooperate when stand locations are in close proximity.
  • —A permanent 150-yard no-stand buffer shall remain around Club-built box blinds.
  • —Treat fellow hunters as you would like to be treated.

Pin-In / Pin-Out Procedures

  • —NEW: Sign In and Pin In. In addition to marking their location on the map, beginning with the 2026-27 season hunters shall sign in with the time they plan to begin and end their hunt on the white dry erase board.
  • —The pin system exists to promote safety and prevent conflicts between hunters.
  • —If two hunters have stands or hunting areas within the same vicinity, only one hunter may occupy the area at a time.
  • —Members may remain pinned into an area overnight only when they intend to hunt the same location during consecutive hunting periods. Example: If you plan to hunt Box Blind 1 on Friday evening and Saturday morning, you do not need to remove your pin overnight — you do need to note your plans on the white board. If you plan to hunt Friday evening and Saturday evening, but not Saturday morning, you may NOT leave in your pin. You may not pin in for the sole purpose of blocking other hunters.
  • —Hunters are responsible for ensuring they are properly pinned in before entering the woods. Check your pin immediately before going into the woods. Even if you pinned in the night before, you must always check the board immediately before entering the woods. Don't assume it's still there from the day before.
  • —Although pinning a location may assist others in locating a hunter during an emergency, it should never be relied upon as a safety system.
  • —Hunters are encouraged to share their hunting location with family members and carry a working cell phone at all times.

Migratory Birds

  • —Waterfowl hunting shall end at 3:00 PM daily.
  • —Duck ponds may be hunted only on days approved by Club leadership.
  • —All applicable state and federal migratory bird regulations shall be followed.
  • —Guest restrictions apply to migratory bird hunting.

Small Game and Predator Hunting

  • —Small game, hog, and predator hunting is permitted in accordance with Georgia hunting regulations whenever deer and turkey are not in season. Generally January–March and mid-May through September 1.
  • —Because the Club's primary purpose is deer and turkey hunting, activities that interfere with deer or turkey hunting may be restricted by Club leadership.

ATV and Vehicle Rules

  • —ATV and UTV use shall be limited to transportation necessary for hunting, scouting, property maintenance, and game retrieval.
  • —Recreational riding is prohibited.
  • —All vehicles must display any permits, stickers, or identification required by CRHC or landowners.
  • —Roads and trails may only be used in accordance with landowner agreements and Club policies.
  • —Members shall avoid unnecessary vehicle traffic during hunting seasons.

Workday Requirements

  • —Each member shall participate in at least two (2) official workdays each year.
  • —In lieu of attending scheduled workdays, members may receive credit for approved independent work that benefits the Club as a whole.
  • —No work other than placing tree stands or blinds may take place on the property without approval of Brant or John. This is especially true with power tools, tractors or similar equipment. This is to ensure we are following landowner rules and requirements.
  • —Personal food plots, stand maintenance that benefits only one member, or paid work do not qualify for workday credit.
  • —Members who fail to satisfy annual work requirements may be assessed a fee established by Club leadership prior to renewal.

Liability Waiver & Release

  • —ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I acknowledge that hunting, outdoor recreation, and all activities conducted on Club property involve inherent risks of injury, death, property damage, and other hazards. These risks include, but are not limited to: firearms and archery equipment discharge, tree stand falls, ATV and vehicle accidents, encounters with wildlife, adverse weather conditions, uneven terrain, and the actions of other hunters. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
  • —RELEASE OF LIABILITY: In consideration of being permitted to participate in Century Ridge Hunting Club activities and to access Club property, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Century Ridge Hunting Club, its officers, co-chairs, members, landowners, lessors, agents, and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, and causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in Club activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
  • —INDEMNIFICATION: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, damages, liability, and expense — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising from or connected with my participation in Club activities or my presence on Club property.
  • —COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS: I represent that I am legally authorized to possess and use firearms and archery equipment under all applicable federal, state, and local laws. I agree to comply with all Georgia Department of Natural Resources regulations, all applicable hunting laws, all Club rules, and all landowner requirements at all times while on Club property.
  • —INSURANCE: I acknowledge that Century Ridge Hunting Club does not provide personal accident, health, or liability insurance for individual members. I am solely responsible for maintaining any insurance coverage I deem appropriate.
  • —ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING: I have read this Liability Waiver and Release in its entirety. I understand its terms. I am signing it freely and voluntarily. I am not relying on any oral representations not contained herein.

Acknowledgement

  • —I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Century Ridge Hunting Club Rules.
  • —I understand that membership in Century Ridge Hunting Club is a privilege and that failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.
